Main duties of the Injection Molding Process Engineer include:
- Lead optimization efforts for plastic injection molding processes by utilizing lean, CI and/or six sigma.
- Specify equipment for new injection molding processes
- Use Process Flow, FPMEA and control plans to aid in process improvements
- Work closely with New Product Development teams
- Improve cycle times on machines
Qualifications include:
- BS in engineering strongly preferred
- Experience with plastic injection molding processes
- Strong Lean/CI process improvement experience
